Calvin moved from San Jose to Hawaii twelve years ago and now calls Aiea his home.  In 1997, after selling handfuls of dichroic beads in CA, he made a life changing decision to leave his job and work full time at making and selling lampwork beads.  Nothing much has changed since....but he did graduate from his hothead to a mid range with a minor on top.  Calvin continues to work near daily, on creating beautiful beads, many flowering ones, inspired by his love for orchids and all the tropical flora that he tries to grow on every available space in the yard!  During his twelve years in Hawaii, he has taught many students the art of lampworking and fusing along with the appreciation of glass, while enjoying his friendships within the bead community.
